As Director of the Office of Postdoctoral Advancement, I lead strategic initiatives and daily operations that support over 500 postdoctoral researchers across Rutgers University. I design and implement career development programs, provide policy guidance, and foster a university-wide culture of mentorship, scholarly growth, and holistic approach to career advancement.My work is centered around three strategic areas: Postdoctoral Affairs, Research Training and Scholarly Productivity, and Career Advancement, to strengthen postdoctoral success and impact across the university.Key accomplishments include:• Pioneering the use of YouMap® in postdoctoral training, becoming the first career coach globally to integrate this self-discovery tool into a postdoc program.• Launching signature programs such as the PREP Career Program and the “Your Career on Track” workshop, which promote career clarity, goal setting, and professional confidence.• Driving mentoring culture through collaboration with Yvonne Gonzalez (2017–2021), including piloting postdoc participation in the Rutgers Connection Network (RCN) Mentoring Program.• Supporting the Presidential Postdoctoral Fellows Program, a cornerstone of Rutgers’ $45M diversity hiring initiative, focused on strategic areas like Race, Racism, and Inequality; Health Equity; STEM Diversity; and Climate Action.I also chair the Executive Steering Committee on Postdoctoral Affairs, working with senior leaders to enhance the postdoc experience and career trajectory across disciplines.Core Skills & Strengths:• Leadership & Strategic Planning• Career Coaching & Mentorship• Program Design & Implementation• Data-Informed Decision Making• Innovation & Change Management• Diversity, Equity & Inclusion • Advocacy & Stakeholder Engagement• Research & Policy Analysis
