Validate prerequisites for each physical or virtual server to be migrated including disk space, services running, network configuration, discovery & analysis of network information - IPs & VLANs, cluster information; and• Create and execute changes to add space or make other configuration changes to prepare servers for migration, analyze/fix access issues, remediation steps due to Plate Spin errors, server reboots• Prepare source servers for migration by stopping services and performing other night-of-change activities prior to handing the server off for migration;• Shutting down the source servers when migration jobs have completed;• Validating target server configuration after cutover has been completed;• Starting up necessary services, databases, middleware components;• Handing off to application teams for validation; and• Performing rollback to source server in the event of a failed migration.
