I am so honored to serve as the Executive of Marketing for Urban Refuge working alongside an incredible team, led by the esteemed Dr. Noora Lori. Throughout the past couple of months, my peers and I have redesigned a preexisting application, “Urban Refuge,” into a more accessible and accurate website model. As we continue to facilitate this transition, our objective has stayed the same: “putting aid on the map” to direct refugees and immigrants to essential resources in their respective locations. The conversations fostered in this classroom setting and connections made with both local and national organizations have allowed us to move closer to our goal of fostering substantive change and connecting displaced individuals with vital resources.
