ABOUT ISABEL ROUSE
I am passionate about improving access and quality of healthcare for all. My work in Value Based Care aligns to my goals of transforming our healthcare system to be more sustainable, aligned to value over volume, and member impact.I began my career at Bain and Company as an Associate Consultant, where I became an expert in answer-first problem solving, strategic thinking and advanced analytics, and detailed work-planning. I then left to join an exciting start-up called OpenBiome and Finch Therapeutics, two companies dedicated to providing treatment for antibiotic-resistant infections, and catalyzing research in the microbiome. I was the first Strategic Initiatives Associate, and was brought on to run high-impact projects in the fields of cost-reduction, change management, and vendor transition. At HCSC, I have worked across lines of business and markets on value-based strategy. My current role as Director, Payment Innovation allows me to manage individuals and teams to design financial arrangements with providers to manage cost and quality; some of our projects include mitigating $280M of risk through new ACO models, designing and executing a portfolio of specialty programs, meeting state regulatory requirements in Medicaid VBC programs, supporting a multi-year system transformation with strategic alignment and insights, contracting and go-to-market development and market support, and managing executive and external communications around VBC delivery.
