I am in IT from past 9 years. In my first year of IT, I have worked as Desktop/SharePoint admin. Then I started working very closely with other DBAs to gain experience in DB Administrators world. In my last 7 years as Oracle DBA, I have worked on many different platforms and 3 major versions of Oracle. I am very comfortable with RAC and Data Guard. I have also worked very closely with UNIX, Firewall, Network, Storage engineers very closely to deploy the projects. I have installed maintained, migrated and upgrade different versions/releases of Oracle. Among physical DBA day to day tasks, I am regularly involved in development activities during the SDLC phases which includes development, testing and QA. I have worked with developers in troubleshooting bad SQLs to reduce the response time and rewrite efficient SQLs with proper indexing techniques. I am familiar with many new features of 11g and 12c. I have exposure on Active Data Guard and Worked with new features of ASM. For database monitoring and day to day maintenance, I have used OEM, Grid control and shell scripting for monitoring the database farm.
