At Cigna, I worked on a Policy Lifecycle Automation initiative to digitize and streamline the end-to-end insurance policy process — from onboarding through underwriting, issuance, servicing, and claims management.The project aimed to eliminate manual handoffs, reduce processing errors, ensure HIPAA compliance, and improve the member experience through secure, real-time data integration across platforms such as FINEOS AdminSuite, Salesforce Health Cloud, and Pega Platform, connected via MuleSoft APIs.My responsibilities included gathering requirements from claims and underwriting teams; performing gap and risk analyses to identify inefficiencies in claims intake, policy processing, and access workflows; and managing change requests for claims logic, policy rules, and AI-driven features. I created UML diagrams to visualize automation workflows, documented and executed test cases, and led UAT to validate automated claims adjudication, underwriting dashboards, and secure self-service tools.I maintained the Kanban board, facilitated SCRUM ceremonies, coordinated with cross-functional stakeholders, and supported end-user training for claims processors, policy teams, and support staff. Additionally, I prepared and delivered demos of new capabilities, conducted SWOT and cost-benefit analyses to measure ROI from automation, and ensured the solution delivered measurable improvements — cutting claims processing times, reducing errors, strengthening compliance, and increasing member satisfaction.
