ABOUT PATRICIA BRENES
I work at the Translation Section of the Inter-American Development Bank in Washington, D.C. I am a translator and terminologist, with a Master\'s Degree in Specialized Translation from the University of Vic in Barcelona and certified by ECQA as Terminology Manager (TermNet, Vienna). After realizing that there was a limited availability of resources and information for linguists and others interested in the field, I decided to start my terminology blog with resources and information: (Terminology for Beginners and Beyond). In My Own Terms has ranked 5th during two consecutive years in the international contest for professional language blogs, organized, among others, by The Oxford University Press. I was a speaker during the 2016 Summit of the European Terminology Association held in Luxembourg. Keep sharing the Terminology love!
