I have been an Ambassador for the Cardiff University International Study Centre through The Ambassador Platform since September 2023.This work requires me to represent the university online in order to help prospective students make a more informed and confident choice about their educational optionsAs of 21st January, I have:Produced 2 social media posts which have been used by the Cardiff University International Study Centre in their public communications;This work has helped me to develop to following skillsInterpersonal and communication skills through the conversations I’ve had with prospective students as a representative of the Cardiff University International Study Centre;Customer service skills through the process of understanding the question I’m being asked and working to find the best answers I can for the prospective student. This may include doing research or working with the wider team of staff and Ambassadors;Marketing, creative and social media skills through the collaboratively working with the marketing department to create social posts for the Cardiff University International Study Centre;Written communication skills as all the work I did as an Ambassador through The Ambassador Platform involved written communications, some of which were public-facing;Organisation, planning and time management skills to be able to fit this additional work around my studies whilst being able to meet all deadlines;Teamwork and professional skills were required to work collaboratively both with staff at the Cardiff University International Study Centre and other Ambassadors.
