ABOUT PATRICK YOUNGE

Patrick Younge is an award-winning journalist and creative leader with over 30 years’ experience, working at major broadcasters at home and abroad. A Former Chief Creative Officer at the BBC and President/General Manager of US cable network, Travel Channel Media, Pat Younge is currently Chair of the Cardiff University governing body and recently stepped down as the Non Executive Director at ITV Studios Ltd. He warehouses his consultancy services and creative projects, ranging from scripted TV to animation and podcast originals, at his company, Skin In The Game Studios Ltd. Between 20••••22 Patrick Younge co-founded and led award winning independent production companies, Sugar Films and Cardiff Productions. He left Cardiff Productions in January 2023. Between 20••••14 he led the BBC Television Production studio, who create and deliver some of the worlds biggest shows. Prior to that, he was President of US cable network, Travel Channel Media, introducing shows like Emmy award winning ‘Anthony Bourdain: No Reservations’ and global break-out hit, ‘Man v Food’. At BBC Sport, Patrick Younge led the transformation of 6 Nations rugby introducing prime-time kick-offs and the \'Super Saturday\' climax. A digital evangelist, his Hack The Moon project was nominated for a Webby award. His digital consultancy, WeCreate Associates, helped companies understand the impact and transformational potential of digital, with clients including Google and AXA. He is a regular speaker at conferences and events, including TedX in Rome.
