ABOUT ILYAS KHAN
I am an Electrical Engineer with many years of proven skills in Project Engineering and Management in renewable energy, building construction and transportation industries. My journey began in Nigeria in 2006, where I started work on rural electrical development in the Saharan North, and later managed an airfield lighting project for a state airport, street lighting for arterial roads, and electrical services for institutional and residential buildings in the other parts of the country. In 2017, I moved to the GTA, Canada. Since then, I’ve managed solar energy projects ranging from a few kWh to several MWh. Currently, I oversee the design, development, and delivery of electrical cable bus systems for data centers, water plants, power plants and battery energy systems (BESS). Our patented system is focused on improving energy efficiency and providing excellent customer experience.Problem solving is my forte and as my work demands, I develop structured processes in uncertain situations where little information is available, to provide solutions and establish guidelines for future use.Over these years, I have had the opportunity of working with multicultural professionals, and clients and vendors from Asia, Middle East, Europe, North America and Africa on over 100 projects. These experiences have helped me gain valuable exposure in collaborating and integrating with teams to solve simple to complex problems.
