ABOUT ILENE WACHS

Ilene Wachs is a future of AI advocate and scholar, highly experienced in executive leadership, finance, risk management, technology and healthcare value in hospital management, medical group and health insurance business sectors. While at Montefiore Medical Center, New York City she led ten clinical, ancillary and support services departments; successfully designing and maturing major strategic initiatives, leveraging technology and private equity financing to increase revenue and improve results in unreimbursed medical care, emergency services and hospital and medical group operations. In the role of President and CEO of CompScope, Inc, Ms. Wachs and her team advised large corporations on workforce productivity. Clients included beverage, transportation, and cosmetics manufacturing companies.Ms. Wachs was subsequently recruited to Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey to diversify the business portfolio. She successfully took the casualty company from concept to maturity including the achievement of a number one market position and production of a significant percentage of parent company operating profits. Critical to success was a deep financial value proposition, digitization of most processes, sophisticated analytics and a well-articulated healthcare value program resulting in 97% client retention. Since departing Horizon, Ms. Wachs has pivoted to focus on AI and is a Collectivi AI scholar and senior advisor to HealthScape Advisors, a Chartis Company, on healthcare business strategy for physicians, insurers and corporations. Ms. Wachs has consistently succeeded in leading the win of large government contracts and securing and maintaining national certifications and accreditations including funding from the British National Health Service for a unique program she devised and implemented at the Royal Free Hospital London.Ms. Wachs is Former President of the Education Fund of the Women’s Forum, an independent 501C3 charity where she led brand enhancement, strategic direction, and fund development, including appearances on ABC and Fox networks. She has visited over 40 countries and over 40 US National Parks and enjoys hiking, environmental stewardship and extensive reading. She earned her Bachelor’s Degree at State University of New York at Buffalo and her Master’s Degree in Public Health (MPH) at Yale University.
