ABOUT IAN GRIMES

I provide computerised timetabling, online register and room booking systems plus timetabling and space management consultancy with a special emphasis on Further and Higher Education organisations in Scotland and North America.My specialities include managing the whole sales cycle from lead generation through to post-sales process. Being part of a small company it has been necessary to be multi-skilled and flexible, not just selling software but implementing timetabling and attendance solutions, training and consultancy on improving timetabling efficiency and usability of timetabling software plus data modelling for better utilisation of teaching space, staffing and/or student experience.I also have experience producing public sector tenders, presenting solutions and managing software implementation projects mainly within the FE and HE sector using principles from a number of recognised methodologies such as Critical Path Method (CPM), Critical Chain Project Management (CCPM), Prince 2 and others.Most importantly I always apply a consultative, value-led approach to whatever I do, identifying and understanding customer needs, and managing expectations when necessary. I appreciate the importance of generating and retaining good working relationships with my client base and continually work hard to build and maintain these relationships, as they are critical for a thriving business and for anyone in a customer facing role.
