ABOUT HUWERL THORNTON
I have coordinated various programs at Connecticut Food Bank (now named Connecticut Foodshare as we have officially merged with Foodshare), to provide food to those in need throughout the state. I have established relationships and partnerships with a variety of community organizations to provide additional resources in addition to food to our most vulnerable population. I have worked with a range of people from children to senior citizens as well as veterans. I have been working tirelessly to help provide food security for those who are food insecure all throughout the state. I was also honored to teach the elementary grades for 14 years in the New Haven Public School System. I have been a Yale University Fellow on the local level and national level for 4 years.
