Sustainable Access to Market and Resources for Innovative Delivery of Healthcare (SAMRIDH) is a blended finance facility implemented by IPE Global in partnership with varied stakeholders from government, philanthropic and financial institutions, private sector, incubator/accelerators and academia. SAMRIDH works to address the weak health systems and persistent shortage of skilled workforce and infrastructure (which have been exacerbated by the pandemic) in India. SAMRIDH combines commercial capital with public and philanthropic funds to drive greater investments in market-based health solutions. SAMRIDH’s immediate goal was to bridge the supply-side gaps in emergency health services and accelerate India’s response to COVID-19. In the long-term, it aims to strengthen comprehensive health services to improve access to affordable and quality healthcare for vulnerable communities and build resilient health systems to effectively respond to future health emergencies.SAMRIDH is a P3 Impact Award Winner

ABOUT HIMANSHU SIKKA
I am a seasoned strategy and operations management professional with over 18 years of experience in supporting government and corporate clients in policy and project development, especially in the health, nutrition, and wash sector. I have a strong background in blended finance, ESG investing, and data science, and I am passionate about creating positive social and environmental impact through innovative and scalable solutions.Currently, I am the Project Director of SAMRIDH, a blended finance facility implemented by IPE Global, that aims to increase investments in market-based health solutions in India. SAMRIDH was recently recognized as the winner of the P3 Impact Award 2022 for its innovative and impactful approach to addressing health challenges. I also hold the positions of Chief Strategy and Diversification Officer and Practice Lead - Health at IPE Global, a diversified consulting group that provides expert technical assistance and solutions for equitable development and sustainable growth in developing countries. In these roles, I lead the group level strategy development and execution, oversee the inorganic growth and new ventures, manage the relationship with the private equity investor, and direct the HNWASH portfolio, including projects with UNICEF, WHO, World Bank, and others. I have worked with several international agencies in diverse geographic settings, such as India, Bangladesh, Philippines, Myanmar, Ethiopia, Kenya, and UK.
