ABOUT HIFSA OKELLY

I am a partner, ranked as ‘Leading Associate’ in the 2026 edition of the Legal 500 directory and a member of the highly rated employment law & business immigration team at Willans. I work with a range of business organisations, including, schools, colleges, and charities and advise on all aspects of employment law and business immigration matters.As well as advising businesses on the day-to-day management of employees and HR matters, I also advise and represent clients involved in employment tribunal claims, such as unfair dismissal, redundancy, TUPE, all types of discrimination, and whistleblowing. I have extensive experience of acting for both claimants and respondents at the employment tribunal.I pride myself on providing honest, practical and straightforward advice to my clients in a timely fashion so that they can deal with any employee related matters quickly and promptly. I also advise senior executives on enforceability of restrictive covenants and negotiations with their employers.I regularly deliver employment law-related training via in-person sessions and webinars to CIPD members and HR professionals/business owners. Topics have included legal updates, sexual harassment in the workplace, neurodiversity and the use of AI in the workplace.I serve the South-West England region and can be reached on 01242 member of The Employment Lawyers\' Association (ELA).
