To work as Lead Designer within a Service Development team on large-scale projects producing new school sites and campuses for a SEND school group. To produce the required design contribution (finishes, plans) for site developments for several projects, concurrently. To initially work with senior members of our education team on site visits to establish preferred operational use for each area of a new site. To create a detailed design in order to inform a Finishes Schedule, Floor plans, Lighting plans/ extended plans to inform M&E design-with ref to required services and to meet Capex and Ofsted registration requirements without compromising on high quality design.To ensure all aspects of design adhere to a co-written policy to create learning environments that are informed by Biophilic and Trauma-informed design principles in order to maximise the potential of learners using our school sites. To ensure that all specialised aspects of the therapeutic design elements are fully informed by research-based evidence in order to produce a design that optimises the learning environments for children with SEND and trauma.To be rigorous in designing schools sites of the highest design quality within our designated development Capex for each site. Responsibility for work to inform finalised Schedule of Works and Stage 1-4 tender.Following Stage 1-4 tender, to work with Project coordinator and Project manager to respond to ongoing RFI\'s and adapt design where there is either a change of operational requirement during works, or ongoing discoveries that impact design requirements or obstruct contractual work. To be responsible for a comprehensive dressing schedule to inform the final dressing of each site-to include interior decoration and details that ensure principles of a therapeutic environment are met and all aspects of biophilic and trauma-informed design details are captured as well as possible within Capex budget for the project.
