ABOUT KIRSTY JONES

My vision is to motivate and inspire staff with the desire, commitment and enthusiasm to learn in an environment where everyone collaborates in partnership to achieve excellence, spiritual and mental fulfilment and happiness. I have a love of learning and a passion for development, which I use to inspire and motivate others. I believe in a distributed approach to development which allows for delegation in relation to the strengths of individuals and encourages staff to be more accountable for continued progress. Careful strategic planning is paramount to improve standards and secure better outcomes while managing and repairing or improving a reputation within the community. Investing time and budget to develop staff improves the quality of provision and so enriches the service offered. Long term, this investment empowers staff to take on leadership roles with confidence and enable a more distributive leadership approach. I regard my particular strengths as a leader and teacher to be: my clear vision, professional integrity, enthusiasm and commitment for all aspects of my role, a capacity to form well developed relationships, approachability and, above all, my sense of humour, without which it would be impossible to survive in work today! My exceptional communication and organisation skills allow me to be a proactive leader, manager and team member. I am responsive to and respectful of the needs of others and I enjoy inspiring them with their own personal thirst for improvement and excellence.
