ABOUT HEIDI K.
I’m a 3rd Year Marine Biology student, predicted to graduate with a First Class Honours with a strong determination to protect marine biodiversity and restore fragile coral reefs. Over the course of my degree, I have developed key skills in marine and terrestrial ecology, habitat assessments, biodiversity monitoring, and ecological data analysis. I am deeply motivated to explore innovative restoration techniques from coral gardening and assisted reef regeneration to the integration of marine robotics for monitoring and precision restoration. I am particularly interested in bridging marine conservation with public engagement, inspiring awareness through science communication, and exploring opportunities to combine sustainable tourism and luxury hospitality with hands-on reef restoration projects.Ultimately my goal is to contribute to solutions that not only restore ecosystems but also reconnect people with the ocean in ways that inspire both stewardship and action.
