ABOUT HATTIE SHAW

I graduated from Manchester Metropolitan University in June 2016 with a degree in Three-Dimensional Design. Since then, I have built an exciting career in Marketing & Brand promotion. After leaving University, I worked in various roles at The Emma Bridgewater Factory; a brand I felt greatly connected to and was keen to learn a lot about! During my time there I worked in the Decorating Studio, the Design Studio & Archive, and as the sole Marketing Assistant for The Stoke-on-Trent Literary Festival, hosted by the EB Factory.In 2017, I joined BEAR, an award-winning independent coffee & lifestyle brand, as a Digital Marketing Apprentice. Over the years, my position has grown alongside the business, where I am currently Marketing Manager & Brand Lead, overseeing the brand and marketing efforts across the business. Since starting at BEAR, I have seen the brand chosen as finalists & winners of multiple local & national awards, including myself being chosen as a finalist for the ‘Young Employee of the Year Award’ at the Burton Mail Business Awards in 2018. I have played a key role in BEAR’s growth from one site to seven, contributing to an accumulated turnover of over £15 million. I completed my Level 3 Apprenticeship in Digital Marketing with Distinction in 2018 and my Level 6 (degree level) Marketing Manager Apprenticeship with Distinction in Summer 2024. My hybrid working & studying experience has deepened my understanding of high-quality marketing & brand management and the critical role that these play in business growth and expansion.
