ABOUT HASNAIN HUSSAIN
I am a first-year Accounting and Finance student at Oxford Brookes University, eager to develop both professionally and personally. I completed my A-levels in Biology, Psychology, and History, which provided me with a healthcare-oriented foundation. I am now transitioning into finance, driven by a strong interest in financial modeling, valuation, and understanding how markets operate.To build practical experience, I completed a Private Equity internship where I learned to apply Discounted Cash Flow (DCF) models and enhanced my Excel and financial accounting skills to real-world financial models.Beyond academics, I am committed to creating impact for others. As an Out-of-state Delegate Manager at Investate, I connect students with industry professionals to provide insights into career paths, company operations, and early career opportunities, including apprenticeships. In my free time, I support students with CVs and personal statements to help them grow, purely for the impact.One of my key goals is to start a business by the end of 2026. I have already taken the first step by participating in a Business Pitching Competition, winning £500. As well as winning an award for something to be recognised for the impact I create. I am now seeking Spring Weeks or internships to gain hands-on industry experience, broaden my understanding of finance, and further develop my professional skills while continuing to create impact for others.
