ABOUT HARSHIT SEHGAL

I\'m a passionate and driven B.Tech student specializing in Mechatronics and Automation at VIT Chennai, with a strong academic foundation and extensive hands-on experience in robotics, automation, and machine learning. My technical expertise includes Python, MATLAB, Arduino, Raspberry Pi, ESP32, embedded systems, sensor integration, mechanical prototyping (CAD & 3D printing), Java.I\'ve actively participated in various national-level competitions and hackathons, achieving notable recognitions: Top 600 in Eureka, Asia\'s largest Business Model competition organized by IIT Bombay. Top 5 at HackHub, a national-level hackathon where I developed a Gesture Control Glove—an ESP32-based wearable device converting hand gestures into robotic or gaming control signals. Finalist at Meshmerize, organized by IIT Bombay, where I built an Autonomous Maze-Solving Robot capable of optimized navigation using Arduino Nano and IR sensors.My key projects include- ACDIZER: Affordable ophthalmic device prototype developed at Aravind Eye Care Hackathon for measuring anterior chamber depth; future integration planned with OpenCV and ML- Galaxy Classification: Developing a machine learning algorithm for classifying galaxies from observational data.Currently, I\'m expanding my skill set by learning ROS (Robot Operating System) to enhance my capabilities in robotics and automation. I\'m also continually developing my skills in backend development (Java), automation scripting (Windows PowerShell), and computer vision applications (OpenCV).I\'m always open to connecting with professionals, mentors, or collaborators passionate about robotics, automation, AI/ML applications, or innovative engineering projects.
