ABOUT HARMAN C.

I’m a technology leader with over a decade of experience delivering high-impact software, data, and DevOps solutions across both startup and enterprise environments. I currently serve as Director of Software Development at RBC, where I lead a multi-disciplinary engineering organization supporting Avion Rewards — one of Canada’s premier loyalty platforms. My journey began at UXP Systems (a startup later acquired by IMImobile), where I led quality and project delivery for Vodafone Germany’s identity unification program. From there, I moved into full-time engineering management at Ampli (an RBC venture), where I helped scale the cashback rewards platform from MVP to maturity, eventually leading its integration into RBC’s broader loyalty ecosystem. Today, I lead cross-functional teams — including full-stack developers focused on offers delivery, and DevOps/data engineering teams supporting the full Avion Rewards platform. I’ve spearheaded our strategic move toward a unified CI/CD pipeline using GitHub Actions, while also guiding platform-wide transformations and reporting initiatives. I bring a combination of hands-on technical insight, cross-functional leadership, and business alignment. My strengths lie in building high-performing teams, driving platform modernization, and delivering data-informed customer experiences at scale.
