Beginning as a self-directed learner during my undergraduate studies, I invested countless hours in mastering the fundamentals of networking and Linux commands through YouTube tutorials, blogs, and e-books. This dedication laid the groundwork for my cybersecurity expertise, which I continue to refine through certifications and hands-on experience. To apply my knowledge practically, I began with Capture The Flag (CTF) challenges on platforms like TryHackMe, progressing to advanced challenges on VulnHub. This solidified my problem-solving and analytical skills, pushing me towards formal certifications. I proudly earned my Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) certification with a 90% score, demonstrating my commitment to mastering complex cybersecurity concepts. Key Projects & Skills achieved from My masters Network Security & Penetration Testing: Conducted a vulnerability assessment on four machines from Hack The Box using tools like Nmap, Burp Suite, and Metasploit. Delivered detailed reports with actionable remediation steps. Security Fundamentals: Analyzed the security posture of an e-commerce platform and proposed solutions based on multi-factor authentication and encryption, inspired by real-world breaches such as Forever 21 and Wee. Data Governance & Ethics: Explored ethical considerations and governance frameworks in decision-making research, enhancing my understanding of responsible data management. Cloud Security: Secured a LAMP stack and WordPress site on AWS, implementing cloud monitoring and security tools like CloudWatch and Nessus. AI/ML in Cybersecurity: Developed an obfuscated malware detection model using K-Nearest Neighbors and Random Forest, achieving 99.98% accuracy in detecting advanced malware techniques.
