As a long-standing member of Reykjavík University’s faculty, I’ve been at the forefront of bridging academia and industry. Since 2007, I’ve served as the lead lecturer for Software Engineering, a mandatory course in the Computer Science program, continuously refining the curriculum to keep pace with evolving industry standards. My focus is on equipping students with practical, cutting-edge skills that prepare them for the fast-paced tech world.Since 2012, I’ve also taught Agile Project Management as part of the Master of Project Management program, helping students develop a deep understanding of agile principles and their application in real-world projects. Additionally, I’ve introduced courses that emphasize modern practices in quality assurance and DevOps, covering CI/CD pipelines and automated testing, ensuring students gain hands-on experience with tools and processes critical to today’s software delivery.Beyond teaching, I’ve supervised numerous B.Sc. final projects, guiding students through the process of turning their ideas into fully realized, innovative solutions. Mentoring students throughout their academic journey has been a rewarding experience, contributing to their professional and personal growth.
