ABOUT DAVID MCNAMARA

Eighteen years in geological research and consultancy with a focus on subsurface characterisation and mineralogy. Research interests centre on the links between geological structure, mineralogy, stress, and fluid flow and the role this plays in geological resources (geothermal, carbon capture, ore deposits) and geohazards. Currently focussed on mineral processes that impact success of decarbonisation and Net Zero solutions. Expert skills include geological mapping, structural mapping, wireline logging, borehole image logging, geomechnical modelling, stress characterisation, mineral nano-microanalysis, electron backscatter diffraction, and mineral microscopy. Experienced with wellsite earth science including mud logging, wireline and LWD logging, and core logging. Competent with a range of industry standard software including Techlog, Petrel, Recall, WellCad, and Move.
