Manage process for cashflow oversight which includes notification to money managers of large inflows/outflows. Facilitate logistics to adhere to investment guidelines, avoid overdraft and potential for cash drag on performance- Work with custodian and internal finance teams to open/close custodian accounts, open markets for trading. Recommend courses of action based on understanding of costs, while mitigating risks and complications- Work with fund valuations team to assist in resolving pricing issues with sub advisors - Lead the Operational Due Diligence research process including collection and review of annual due diligence questionnaires, as well as producing Operational Due Diligence reports for external sub advisors across traditional and non traditional firms- Review and investigate operational effectiveness of sub advisors on a regular and adhoc basis - Highlight key risks in areas of operational effectiveness of the managers used across various investment platforms at CIBC Asset Management - Work closely with Investment Controls team to resolve identified compliance issues - Maintenance of Investment Policy Guidelines which includes presenting requests related to investment guideline changes to a monthly Product Committee- Understand regulatory guidelines and work with compliance team to review and remedy outstanding issues with sub advisors - Work with project teams and provide guidance on onboarding of new managers, termination of managers, contract completion and spearheading transition management activities- Maintain opinions on transition management teams by developing relationships with key contacts.
