I am a data scientist. I work on product insights, machine learning models, and data engineering, to develop insights, metrics, models, experiments, and data processing pipelines. I work on large-scale data from clickstream events, transactional user data, and data warehousing. My goal is to empower stakeholders and users, improve the user experience and drive growth. My role is part of both the Analytics and the Product Management teams.I have been working in industries that include: Education Technology for institution, corporate, and consumer, and Business & Financial Management for small businesses, consumers and accounting professionals, with companies that use diverse business models including: Enterprise B2B, SaaS tiered subscription for businesses and consumers, two-sided marketplace, and e-commerce models.I earned doctorate and masters degrees from the University of Waterloo, in the areas of Data Mining, Machine Learning, Text Mining, and Information Theory, with applications on data from medical diagnosis, gene expression micro-arrays, learning object repositories, and text corpora. I enjoyed teaching courses on Algorithm Design and Analysis, Data Structures, Database Systems, and Artificial Intelligence at the faculty of Engineering, University of Waterloo.
