ABOUT HAMZA JAVED
Compiler and FPGA-focused hardware engineer, I\'m interested in the intersection of compilers, architectures, and data-centric acceleration, especially where sparse structure and memory behavior dominate performance.I completed my graduate research training at McGill University, where I worked in the Compiler and Accelerator Synthesis Lab on compiler-guided methodologies that translate high-level descriptions into deeply pipelined FPGA accelerators for sparse tensor and graph workloads. Across that work, I built end-to-end flows that span IR design, automated hardware generation, and on-board validation on Arria 10 and Stratix 10 class platforms, with a focus on improving throughput and resource efficiency.Along the way, I\'ve also enjoyed teaching and mentorship at scale, including teaching introductory programming to students at McGill. My broader goal is to make hardware generation more predictable and performance-portable by combining strong compiler abstractions with architecture-aware implementation.
