ABOUT HAILEY SERLIN

Enthusiastic Kelley School of Business sophomore, majoring in Marketing and International Business. I have a passion for leadership, collaborating with others, and managing business plans. I have demonstrated these strengths in a variety of positions, beginning in high school with my positions as BBYO Michigan Region\'s Vice President of Membership, DECA Vice President, and Co-Creator of BearPod Podcast. In these leadership roles I led community engagement initiatives, worked side by side with local businesses to improve operations, and created digital content. By the end of my terms, I increased membership by 50%, gained new community partnerships, and introduced a podcast curriculum to my school.Now at Indiana University, I continue to search for new opportunities to expand my perfessional and personal leadership. I am growing my network by joining student organizations. As Vice President of Engagement for Hillel, I aim to establish connections with diverse groups which fosters interpersonal skills, cultural awareness, and emotional intelligence. In addition, I am apart of Indiana University Dance Marathon, the 2nd largest student run philanthropy in the nation. This organization raises money for Riley Children\'s Hospital, and helps kids get the medical care they need. In addition, I am an active member of Sigma Delta Tau Sorority, which has given me the opportunity to create relationships with peers on campus, plan and fundraise for philanthropic organizations like Prevent Child Abuse America, and be an active part of my campuses greek life community.I hope to continue my education by studying abroad and becoming involved in Kelley Workshops. In the future I hope to further develop my strengths in communication, management, and problem-solving by engaging in a marketing internship. After college, I see myself pursuing a career in international business with a marketing focus to help global communities.
