ABOUT HAFIZ MUHAMMAD UMER FAROOQI
I am a biomedical scientist with extensive experience in academia, biomedical research, and regulatory affairs. I am passionate about applying laboratory medicine principles to advance both basic and translational research. I also enjoy training, teaching, and mentoring undergraduate and postgraduate students in allied health sciences and biomedical disciplines. My research expertise lies in modeling ultra-rare pediatric neurological and mitochondrial disorders using cutting-edge in vivo and patient-derived iPSC-based in vitro models, such as organoids and organ-on-chip/microphysiological systems. These models are utilized for drug screening, the development of novel biomarkers and biosensors, lab-on-chip devices, and regenerative medicine.
