ABOUT GURJIT KHURANA HERSHEY
Dr. Khurana Hershey is an internationally recognized expert in pediatric asthma, allergy and immunology, genetics, and environmental health who has devoted her career to clinical investigation using a combination of epidemiologic, basic, translational, and clinical research to answer fundamental questions that contribute to the development of childhood asthma. Her research centers on identifying the genetic and environmental factors important in asthma and allergy, especially at the epithelial surfaces, and dissecting the molecular mechanisms underlying their contributions. In addition to her research contributions, she is the Director of the NIH funded Medical Scientist (MD/PhD) Training Program at the University of Cincinnati. Dr. Khurana Hershey has been continuously funded for nearly 20 years and has published over 160 articles.
