In my faculty position at PCC I consult with instructors as they design and deliver online and hybrid courses, including the implementation of best practices for online teaching strategies. As part of the focus on the quality of online course design at PCC, I developed and now coordinate the Online Faculty Mentor program, with the goal of providing peer guidance for new online instructors and of improving the quality of online and hybrid course design. I have also taught online and hybrid courses in ESOL and Reading at PCC. I am involved with the Quality Matters Program (qmprogram.org) as a master reviewer and trainer, and I have facilitated the face-to-face and online versions of the “Applying the QM Rubric” and \"Improving your Online Course\" workshops a number of times. In my role as master reviewer, I have chaired a number of QM peer review teams. I have also served on the program committee for recent Quality Matters conferences, including QM Northwest, and the 5th annual QM conference in Nashville, October 2013. In an earlier profession, I served as an ESL instructor, teaching ESL for academic purposes for 16 years in a number of colleges, including Lewis & Clark in Portland, Heidelberg College in Ohio, and colleges in Poland and Sweden. My position at the Technical University of Wroclaw (Poland) was in connection with a Fulbright grant.
