Saves Time and Saves Lives. Life Flight offers free air ambulance help to those in need. Life Flight has helped over mothers, children, neigbours and friends in need and continues to save over 1200 lives each year. Founded by Sir Peter Button, Peter witnessed the sinking of the Wahine ferry and realized a helicopter could have saved lives.He thought: “there has to be a better way”. These words inspired him to create Life Flight.
