Performed Three Main Roles:1. Systems Architect – Worked with top level management and specific departments to build tailored systems engineered to substantially optimize operations and workflows throughout the organization. I wrangled together the incompatible/redundant patchwork of legacy data warehouses, non uniform codex across department lines and the data maintained by multiple third party data vendors into a centralized, unitary and non-redundant PostgreSQL database hosted on AWS RDS. Software Developer – In this role, I aggressively seek process optimization opportunities. Most commonly manifest in python or SQL scripts executed on EC2 instance at a scheduled frequency or as AWS Lambda event driven, server-less scripts. Worked with data vendors and related parties to establish modern EDI channels and built a sprawling ETL system handling SMTP, FTP, HTTP and s3 file delivery, parsing various file formats (including XML, JSON, CSV/TSV, FWF, TXT, XLSX), standardizing disperse vendor naming conventions - packaged software with similar features is listed at over / year. Data Scientist – Developed and refined a browser based data analysis platform and toolkit in order to facilitate management’s access to and ability to interpret the underlying data from operations over a given period. Undertook several major software projects1. Created cleanly architected production reimplementation of Huguenot Fuels’ pricing process in Python. New system lead to immediate cost savings and improved customer satisfaction. Consolidated DTN, DM2, OPIS, and other data feeds/warehouses into a consistent data interface. Migrated legacy data warehouses to AWS RDS PostgreSQL. Built and deployed AWS EC2 cloud framework to process, summarize and report data from intraday operations available in real-time.4. Curated custom business calendar and distributed platform which automated mundane and periodic back office tasks.
