Following Simpson & Marwick\'s merger with Clyde & Co. I am delighted to be part of their market-leading healthcare and professional indemnity teams. I head up our healthcare division in Scotland, representing doctors, dentists and other professionals in clinical negligence actions and in regulatory matters.I act in complex, high-value valuation litigation. I act for a broad swathe of professionals, from surveyors and valuers to accountants, actuaries and insurance brokers. I continue to appear in court regularly as a solicitor advocate. My practice covers disease litigation, professional indemnity and personal injury.

First, I realised I was not really cut out for being a war correspondent. Secondly, my babysitter was a law student who was passionate about the law - the human interest, the academic rigour, the thrill of the fight. I caught the bug and have never lost it. I want to understand the problem. I want to find a solution. But mostly I want to ensure my client gets the best result.
