ABOUT GRACE ROWLEY-SMITH
I’m a Talent Acquisition leader who’s spent the last decade helping high-growth organisations scale by building the systems, strategies and teams that enable great people to do their best work. Most of my experience has been in science and technology environments, where hiring is rarely straightforward and success depends on balancing speed, quality and long-term capability. I enjoy working in complex, multidisciplinary businesses where talent is a real lever for growth, not just a function.I’ve built and led Talent functions through periods of rapid change, partnering closely with leadership to translate business strategy into workforce plans, hiring frameworks and organisational capability. Along the way, I’ve naturally become involved in broader people topics too — from competency frameworks and career architecture to systems, organisational design and how teams actually operate day to day. What I’m most interested in now are roles where talent is genuinely critical to success — whether that’s scaling scientific innovation, building technical teams, or helping organisations navigate growth and change.I tend to sit comfortably between strategy and delivery, and I care a lot about building teams that are thoughtful, practical and genuinely useful to the business.
