Gordon is the founding Group Chief Executive Officer of PeopleKind Group. Gordon held the role of CEO at Nulsen Association, Nulsen Disability Services and then Nulsen Group from 1994 until the official launch of PeopleKind Group on 5 July 2022. He has a passion for people with complex disability and a vision for ensuring the disability sector is adequately supported and funded to provide a diverse range of high quality services when people need it. Gordon has spearheaded the evolution and expansion of Nulsen Group - now PeopleKind Group - to offer a range of complementary human services that empower people to live their best life.

ABOUT GORDON TREWERN
Gordon has more than 30 years experience working in the disability sector, both in Western Australia and New South Wales. Gordon’s practical knowledge and wealth of experience has given him a unique perspective of the disability sector and a depth of understanding of accommodation and related support service issues for people with disabilities. Having spent 7 years on the National Disability Services Board has also provided him with an insight into current and future issues for service providers in the disability field across Australia.Gordon has been a key participant in steering Nulsen through a move from custodial care to community living, continuing on to guide the Association through its growth of services. He has always ensured Nulsen works collaboratively with other organisations and government to achieve positive outcomes for people with complex disabilities. In addition to driving the expansion of services within Nulsen and the development of Nulsen Business Services he is particularly proud of a recent project with a small agency in the Goldfields in which Nulsen has and continues to, support the local agency establish services to people with acquired brain injury. This has been important in ensuring that service provision is kept local and relevant. Gordon believes that the advent of National Disability Insurance Scheme provides the opportunity for people with disabilities to receive the services and support they require in a timely manner. He is keen to ensure that this once in a lifetime social reform is done well building on the current WA system and the past achievements of the Western Australian disability sector.
