ABOUT GIZEM SOLMAZ-RATZLAFF
I have about seven years of experience in research coordination, project management, and teaching. I currently support the coordination of the Center for Open Science’s Open Scholarship Survey, helping manage timelines, organize workflows, and keep cross-team collaboration on track. Before that, I worked at Florida State University in both research and instructional roles and contributed to large-scale randomized controlled trials focused on improving mathematics teaching and learning. These roles strengthened my skills in quantitative analysis, study logistics, and working with diverse student and teacher populations. I use tools like Asana for project organization and apply statistical methods, including Item Response Theory and dimensionality analyses, to help ensure accurate and reliable reporting. I focus on practical problem-solving, clear communication, and improving research processes that support open science and organizational goals.
