ABOUT GIULIA PESCARA

When I was born, the doctor placed me in my father\'s arms with a raised eyebrow:\"She\'s svicia.\" Which in Piedmontese, the dialect of the northen Italian region where my parents met and settled, means \"that\'s a sharp one\", and in the language of polite people means \"just take the baby and best wishes to you, to the mother, and to everyone else who has the misfortune to live nearby.\" As long as I can remember, I\'ve always talked too much. When I was a child, the only way to keep me quiet was placing me in front of a book. The thicker they were, the longer the magic of silence lasted. I think that the passion for stories - first the heard, read and told ones, then the written ones - began this way. It\'s been natural to imagine a professional and personal path that would allow me to tell stories: old school blogs, actual journalism, creative writing, PR and those awfully long voice messages to my friends (I\'m sorry!). From traditional and digital media, to institutional and corporate comms, in the different fields where I worked in the last ten years, it\'s alsways been evident how an effective communication is crucial for the success of an institution or a company. The goal is to help them find their own voice and use it (well) to reach the (right) audience. In 2022, I joined Amazon as a member of the Italian Corporate PR team, where I deal with workplace and operations comms, especially for AMZL and the last mile. I\'m also responsible for the DE & I comms projects and initiatives in the Country, which is a privilege that allows me to meet extraordinary, inspiring people, and to whom I try to do justice. I still talk too much, but I\'m starting to appreciate brevity. Basically, I write things, see people, and read the newspaper.
