ABOUT GILLIAN THOMSON
My non-linear career path is a point of pride! One thing led to another.I dreamed of making hair products since I was young, so I earned my chemistry degree and hairstyling journeyman license. After graduating, I developed salon and spa products, and learned I had a knack for marketing too. With that hair product dream achieved, I turned my career towards marketing and design. Years later, the idea for a better shower cap came along, so I combined my unique background in science, hairstyling, and marketing to invent Skipper—a shower cap that actually works.Common threads throughout my career are relationship building and compelling storytelling. I\'m especially proud of co-founding High Level Line Society and other side projects that helped raise the profile of Edmonton and prepared me for entrepreneurship.
