ABOUT GILL RINGLAND

I spent many fascinating years in the IT industry, writing in passing the best seller \"Scenario Planning\". I then was CEO and Fellow of SAMI Consulting, with clients worldwide. After 3 years as a Director of Ethical Reading I have been engaged in three strands of endeavour. I continue to look for ways of engaging \"people with day jobs\" in foresight as there is so much evidence that organisations benefit. So Patricia Lustig and I write blogs and lead webinars on a regular basis, and our next book The Possibility Wheel is available at After two years co-chairing a BCS (British Computer Society) Working Group with Professor Ed Steinmueller of Sussex, we are now advising BCS and more widely on Service Resilience and Software Risk - software failures are costly to the economy and society, with increasing impact. Our book is available at https://londonpublishingpartnership.co.uk/books/resilience-of-services-reducing-the-impact-of-it-failures/ And am a Trustee of Newbury u3A, an excellent charity which provides the opportunity for those no longer in work to come together and learn for fun, until February 2025. I have developed the role of Visibility Officer and am handing over to three excellent EC members!
