Consultant with expertise in financial accounting, financial reporting, technical accounting research, internal controls, financial modeling, business analysis, auditing, strategic planning, financial analysis, and portfolio valuation. I have a well-defined skillset in developing and maintaining stakeholders’ relationships, analyzing/evaluating private equity investments, and performing due diligence tasks for organizations.In previous role I was the Chief Accounting Officer at Change Home Mortgage. I oversee accounting department of 11 employees, attaining substantial levels of operational/accounting efficiency. I design, document, and monitor internal controls, ensuing a decrease in financial errors and improved stability. Additionally, I collaborate with the CFO and CEO on crucial business initiatives.Prior to Change Home Mortgage I was a Controller at Western Asset Management Mortgage Capital Corp, I supervised the financial accounting of a publicly traded mortgage REIT with investments in Agency and Non-Agency RMBS and CMBS and residential and commercial mortgage loans. Furthermore, I assisted with audits with external auditors on quarterly/annual audits, ensuring 100% compliance with regulatory requirements.I have completed an MBA from the University of Maryland. Moreover, I previously completed a BA degree in Accounting from The Catholic University of America.I’m a CPA with a professional affiliation with the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).I have extensive knowledge of workspace management technologies such as Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, Oracle, Yardi, amongst several other tools.I am a passionate learner and always work in a high-performance mode.
