Papple is one of the finest farm buildings in the UK. Known as a \'steading\', it comprises of the farmhouse, the Grieve\'s Cottage [the farm foreman] and bothies [once accommodation for farm workers] and the Granary. These five properties are beautifully and stylishly restored and available for holiday, business, wellbeing and academic retreats. The farm buildings have been carefully repaired and rebuilt and contain a cafe/ wine bar, a gallery and an agricultural heritage centre. Papple is set in it\'s own grounds with leisure amenities, lawns, a forest garden and a large wildflower meadow set within an ancient woodland. The entire farm was designed in 1860 and replaced the older buildings - although the ruins of the 14th century tower house are still to be seen.
