Planning, organizing, preparing, coordinating and evaluating written and oral communications of the Office of Disaster Recovery and Resilience (e.g. press releases, photos, flyers, etc.) directed to specific targeted audiences within the public, the media or government, according to guidelines established by the SBA Office of Communications and Public Liaison (OCPL) and the Office of Congressional and Legislative Affairs (OCLA). Answering media questions and responding to requests for interviews and written information. Initiating public speaking opportunities for disseminating disaster program information and speaking on camera and before large audiences. Writing and editing correspondence for ODA/Center management addressed to public officials and private organizations about individual and business loan cases or general disaster program information. Reviewing and analyzing loan cases in order to explain the specific basis for the loan making decision. Gathering and analyzing financial information to provide responses to Congressional inquiries, news media, and/or elected officials.
