ABOUT GENEVIEVE STEGNER

Genevieve is a current William & Mary Law School student. Before attending law school, Genevieve was a contractor for the Smithsonian Institution’s National Museum of Natural History. She has diverse experiences across museum and cultural heritage management, including open-access projects. Using her background in Art History, Genevieve is trained in conservation, collections management, and contract drafting - all of which involve a scrupulous eye for detail. Genevieve obtained her undergraduate degree from American University in Art History, where she graduated with summa cum laude honors. There, she received several merit-based awards and scholarships, which included funding to study at the University of California, Berkeley, and to conduct archival research in Siena, Italy. She received her MA in Art History with Distinction from the University of York in 2020.
