City of Utica Urban Renewal Agency Marketing Director /City of Utica Special Events Coordinator,(Chief Service Officer – Cities of Service). The Urban Renewal Agency provides access for individuals, community organizations and other investors interested in redeveloping tax foreclosed, abandoned, and distressed properties acquired by the City. Revitalizing our neighborhoods on house at a time.DISTINGUISHING FEATURES OF THE CLASS: This position exists within the City of Utica’s Urban Renewal Agency and involves responsibility for the initiation, coordination, formulation, management, review and direction of activities dealing with the marketing of goods and services available through the Agency. The work is performed under the direction of the Mayor, as Chairman of the Agency, and the Commissioner of Urban and Economic Development, as Executive Director of the Agency, with wide leeway allowed for the exercise of independent judgment in carrying out details of the work. Supervision may be exercised over the work of subordinate personnel. The incumbent does related work as required.New Initiatives - Implemented Social Media marketing campaign. Coordinate with Utica Industrial Development Agency to market commercial properties. Working with City and Keep Mohawk Valley Beautiful on Regional Land Bank. Working with local mortgage companies to utilize FHA 203K Loans for First Time Homebuyers. Developing Quality of Life App to facilitate reporting of neighborhood issues.Annual Special Events – July 4th Celebration, Great American Cleanup, United Way - Day of Action Graffiti Busters, 9/11 Day of Service & Remembrance, Christmas at City Hall, New - HUD Summit
