Provide underserved and at-risk children attending public schools in Mount Vernon, NY an opportunity to have a life filled with meaningful career possibilities. Our mission is to introduce the marvels of science on a systematic, frequent and regularly scheduled basis, enabling them to experience, explore and personalize the resulting discoveries.Our primary goal is to build a science center that will provide critical but absent STEM resources to this specific population and children throughout the northeast. While working to raise the capital funds needed to build the center, we are delivering meaningful programs to our target student population. From an ROI perspective, we will have the capacity to change the lives of so many young people. All Mount Vernon public school children will visit the center at least twice a year for a 3-hours guided tour. All will also have the opportunity to participate in free after-school classes, weekend and summer programs, tutoring and mentoring programs. AP courses and college courses for high school students will be available, as well as programs for educators and parents. It is reasonable to expect a sustainable impact on the lives of to students each year.
