ABOUT FRANK SONNENBERG
Dr. Sonnenberg is Emeritus Professor at the Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. He was Professor of Medicine at the medical school from 1990 to 2025 and served as Chief Medical Informatics Officer of the medical school since 1996. He earned a bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry from the State University of New York at Stony Brook and a Doctor of Medicine degree from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) School of Medicine. He completed a residency in Internal Medicine at UCLA and a research fellowship at the New England Medical Center and Tufts University School of Medicine. He is a diplomate of the American Board of Internal Medicine, certified in Clinical Informatics by the American Board of Preventive Medicine and a fellow of the American College of Physicians, the American College of Medical Informatics and the American Medical Informatics Association (AMIA).
