I help out with the nightly transportation operations at MDW5. During the absence of the TAM(s) or as needed i am a POC for our site. I have helped train all of new transportation associates from being able to check in and out trucks properly, to helping them with various trailer issues whether they are driving or need help with an OTR driver. I have had my CDL since 2019 and I am very experience in driving professionally and I use that to help out my fellow associates whether it being driving in yard or OTR if they are brand new CDL holder. I sweep the yard virtually every night so make sure our yard is accurate. I make cases to ensure our overall yard capacity stays as low as possible with not only getting 3rd party trailers removed from our yard but also make sure to follow up on damaged trailers that have been fixed to clear up yard space and increase our overall trailer pool.
