I am an academic in the fields of intelligence, security, and strategy, as well as a professional practitioner with extensive experience in these areas. I have held various positions in both the public and private sectors, where my main responsibilities have included the design of processes, implementation of strategies, and evaluation of actions and policies related to national security, intelligence and counterintelligence operations, counterterrorism, and crisis management.Teaching is my passion, and since 2012 I have taught at the undergraduate and graduate levels in civilian, law enforcement, and military contexts, focusing on international security, geopolitics, intelligence, and strategy.My research interests include grand strategy, alliances between criminal and terrorist groups, intelligence analysis, and open-source intelligence (OSINT). I have published three co-edited books: ¿Hacia dónde va la seguridad? Elementos clave para comprender el S. XXI; El terrorismo global y sus implicaciones en el ámbito de la defensa y seguridad nacional de México; and La seguridad humana como pilar del desarrollo social en México.
